Benefits – Four Wheel Drive models usually can traverse rougher terrain than 2×4 models. They also have higher resale values when sold much like a four wheel drive pickup truck.

Liabilities – Higher purchase price. More possible parts to have problems with in the future. Some lifts, mostly older 1980’s models are under powered when equipped with four wheel drive.

Benefits – Cheaper purchase price. May have quicker drive speed than four wheel drive models. Less moving parts.

Liabilities – May be more difficult to resale. May have difficulties in rough job sites.
